Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sunset Screens supply the movie?
How do we connect our movie to the big screen?
Do we need a licence to watch our movie?
Sunset Screens does not provide the movie you wish to watch, this is all up to you.
The projector connects to anything with a HDMI input including laptops, iPads, Netflix, Stan, DVD/Blu-ray players and gaming consoles such as a PlayStation or Xbox.
Our equipment is so simple to use that you can operate it with no previous audio-visual experience and the projector connects to anything with HDMI input including laptops, iPads, Netflix, Stan, DVD/Blu-ray players and gaming consoles such as a PlayStation or Xbox.
If you wish to stream from Netflix ect you will need to provide your own log in and device to stream from. If you are planning on showing live sport please consider how you will stream this event- some apps such as AFL and FOXTEL do not allow screen mirroring. Our suggestion for sport is Kayo (please note that some larger events may have a time delay).
If this is a private event you can show any movie you wish without a licence. If this is a public event, if you are charging patrons to view the movie, or if you are advertising this event then you may need to apply for a licence to show the movie you wish. This needs to be completed prior to advertising. We suggest going through Village Roadshow and we can support you in applying for this. A licence will incur an extra cost (this is payable to Village Roadshow and has nothing to do with Sunset Screens) .
